This is the principal course on the Study-Now site, and is designed to provide a comprehensive grounding in Business English to non-native speakers. The course presently consists of 40 units, each with five lessons. One lesson takes approximately an hour to complete.

The course content has been written with a focus on relevance, and therefore consists of highly topical subjects such as the Internet and Corporate Responsibility, with associated vocabulary. Naturally, the course also covers all the grammar needed to communicate effectively in a business environment, all presented in Study-Now’s dynamic, interactive format.

A unique feature of the Study-Now Business English Course—indeed a feature that separates it from any other course of its kind—is the option for students to sign up at any of three levels:

Standalone: This is the basic level, and provides the student with access to all online content. Students have access to the main course content, determined by the number of units they purchase, as well as to the practice drills. Since the content is highly interactive and includes substantial audio and video for speaking and listening practice, this level is highly effective for students wishing to improve their English skills. The cost effectiveness of the Standalone level means that it is also ideal for schools and companies, either as a complete course or as a supplement to existing English language training.

Delayed Teacher Interaction (DTI): At this level, students have access to all the features of the Standalone level, and in addition have the opportunity to complete writing exercises, which are marked by teachers and returned with a score and feedback. This course is ideal for students seeking to enhance their written communication skills.

Live Teacher Interaction (LTI): This is the highest access level. At this level, students have access to all the features of the DTI level, and in addition have the opportunity for live one-on-one instruction with professional teachers. This instruction takes the form of one-on-one telephone instruction (free dial) and one-on-one online chat. All interactions are scored, with the scores returned to the student along with teacher feedback. These added features make the LTI level a complete course that provides comprehensive training in all major skills.

Naturally, Study-Now provides students with full feedback so that they can check their progress through the course. This feedback includes regular testing, as well as teacher comments at the DTI and LTI levels.
